The BRICS Industrial Innovation Competition, an international event held under the framework of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution, has been successfully held for five consecutive years since 2020. Its aim is to accelerate the construction of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution and gather momentum for deepening pragmatic cooperation in the field of industrial innovation among BRICS countries.

The infinitely recyclable nature of aluminum provides a natural advantage for sustainable resource utilization. Compared to primary aluminum, the production of recycled aluminum can reduce energy consumption by 95% and greenhouse gas emissions by 97%. This characteristic is maximized in the business practices of Hongjin New Material Group.

In the context of the accelerating global low-carbon transformation, Hongjin New Materials' development journey and sustainable philosophy not only demonstrate strategic determination at the corporate level but also establish a full-chain circular economy model encompassing "recycling of secondary aluminum resources - production - consumption - resource utilization of aluminum ash". Through technological innovation to enhance recycling efficiency and collaborating with industry chain partners to build a green ecosystem, it provides a replicable transformation path for the global secondary aluminum industry.

The project titled "Research, Development, and Industrialization of High-Performance Aluminum Alloy New Materials for Green Renewable New Energy Vehicles," which earned Nantong Hongjin the award, encompasses technologies such as dioxin emission reduction, green and efficient utilization of waste aluminum, low-carbon melting of recycled aluminum, deep purification of aluminum melts, and 100% resource utilization of aluminum ash. Nantong Hongjin, with the mission of "green, low-carbon, and circular development," integrates recycling and sustainable development into its core values and business model.

The "recycled aluminum recycling-high-value remelting utilization-carbon reduction" model adopted by Nantong Hongjin not only reduces dependence on primary aluminum resources but also verifies that the circular economy is the core path for the low-carbon transformation of the recycled aluminum processing industry in the new energy vehicle sector. Recycled aluminum production can reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions by 95%. The project has been included in the 2024 Jiangsu Province Waste-Free City Construction Inventory List and has been recognized in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's National Directory of Advanced and Applicable Process Technology and Equipment for Comprehensive Utilization of Industrial Resources (2025 Edition), providing a replicable model for enhancing the overall environmental benefits of the global industrial chain.
